Standing on the stage of the Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera House
I’m not sure if it comes across in the pictures, but the hall felt much smaller in real life, standing on the stage, than it looked in any pictures or video I’d previously seen of it. The stage felt tiny!
We very nearly missed our backstage tour as it started early in the morning at 7am, as the Opera House would be in use during the day. However, I had written down that the tour started at 7:30am! When I finally realised in our hotel room at 6:55am, we had to run 5 minutes from our hotel to the Opera House in the rain, which is why we look a little worse for wear in the photos!
My camera was still dripping wet during these photos as it was the first place we visited on the tour – for the first few minutes standing on this stage it refused to take any photos at all (typical that this happens when standing on the stage of the Concert Hall at Sydney Opera House), but luckily came back into life – meaning these photos were pretty rushed!
