The Arctic Monkeys at V Festival 2011, Hylands Park Chelmsford. They were great fun to shoot!

There were around 50 photographers wanting to photograph them, so we were split into two groups. The first group would be allowed to shoot one song of Arctic Monkeys then rush off to shoot Dizzee Rascal on the 4Music Stage. The second group would wait at the side of the pit during the first song, but would be allowed to photograph the next two songs when the other group had left, at the cost of skipping Dizzee Rascal. I chose to be in the second group, and I’m glad I did. I’ve already photographed Dizzee Rascal in the past and found the photos quite boring, and while I wouldn’t have admitted to being a big Arctic Monkeys in more recent years, they were pretty impressive.
